Coronavirus, (COVID-19)…Oh, how life is changed.

                  It is because of our deep appreciation and love for our faithful volunteers, and an abundance of caution for all our parishioners and guests that we felt compelled to cancel our St. Peter Parish Fish Fry for the remainder of this Lenten Season.  We all know that the Fish Fry is more than a really great dinner.  The community, fellowship, fun, hospitality, socializing and wholesome hard work, (so much a part of the planning, preparing, and serving), makes for a delightful dining experience that is both delicious and memorable.  We all enjoy it.  By God’s Grace, let us look forward to better days…next year!

In talking with Fr. Fred and Fr. Eddie, it is hard for us to comprehend the severity of our present health crisis, making it necessary to curtail all public gatherings and cancel our public Masses.  In the words of Archbishop Carlson: “All public celebrations of the liturgy, as well as Liturgy of the Hours, Stations of the Cross, and all other group services, Bible studies and activities are to cease beginning immediately.  The dispensation I have offered for all Catholics in our archdiocese from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass is now extended through April 5.”

"Pending updates and guidance from local and state government and health officials, there are preliminary plans to resume Masses beginning April 6; however, re-evaluation will happen at a later date.  At this time, all churches are to remain open to individuals for personal prayer, devotions and confessions.  Go to https://www.archstl.org/coronavirus  for updated information."

St. Peter Church  will be open from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Confessions will be heard Saturdays, 3:45-4:45 pm.

It saddens me.  It confounds me.  It compels me all the more to pray…for you!
