Overview of the Proposed Models for Our Planning Area
Many thanks to the more than 300 parishioners who attended our parish All Things New Listening Sessions. For those of you who were unable to attend, here is a brief recap of the models proposed for the eight parishes of our Planning Area 9. A large poster with each of the Models is available in our Gathering Space.
The Office of Strategic Planning presented three initial Models. (Worship Spaces have not been identified for the models):
Model A proposes five parishes—1) Combines St. Peter, St. Charles Borromeo and St. Francis of
Assisi in Portage Des Sioux;
2) Combines St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Robert Bellarmine;
Leaves freestanding: 3) All Saints (St. Peters);
4) Sts. Joachim & Ann; and
5) St. Cletus.
Model B proposes three parishes—1) Combines St. Peter, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Francis, and
St. Cletus;
2) Combines St. Elizabeth and St. Robert;
3) Combines Sts. Joachim & Ann and All Saints.
Model C proposes three parishes —1) Combines St. Peter, St. Francis, St. Charles Borromeo and
St. Robert;
2) Combines St. Elizabeth and St. Cletus;
3) Combines Sts. Joachim & Ann and All Saints
Two additional models have been submitted for consideration by the Archdiocese. (Worship Spaces have not been identified for the models):
Model D proposes 3 parishes—1) Combines St. Peter, St. Elizabeth and St. Robert due to their history of multiple shared ministries;
2) Combines Sts. Joachim & Ann and All Saints;
3) Combines St. Cletus, St. Francis, and St. Charles Borromeo.
Model E proposes 3 parishes:—1) Combines St. Peter, St. Elizabeth, St. Robert and St. Cletus;
2) Combines St. Charles Borromeo and St. Francis;
3) Combines Sts. Joachim & Ann and All Saints.
