May Crowning

              In the month of May we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with a May Crowning.  Next Sunday, May 8th, at the conclusion of our 9:00 a.m. Mass, the children of our Sunday PreSchool, accompanied in prayer and song by all in the Church, will celebrate the "Crowning of the Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary" here in Church.  (Because of the architecture of our Church and the height of the statue, it will not be an actual “crowning,” though we will honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with a bouquet of flowers, placed at her shrine.) It is a beautiful ceremony connecting the generations of our parish in our common love and devotion to our Blessed Mother.
