A Journey to a Renewal of Pentecost

     The Lenten Season  begins on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd, so, here’s what we have planned to offer during Lent and  beyond, as part of our Making Disciples and Disciple-Makers Series.

     With the archbishop’s “All Things New” initiative beginning next week, we are looking to go beyond just a Lenten series and provide a “journey” that will take us through  the Easter Season and conclude on Pentecost Sunday.  The Holy Spirit will be our guide through this 14-week journey. Our in-person sessions will be held on 14 consecutive Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Adult Faith Room located in the 1924 Building. For those who cannot attend in person, the videos are available on Formed.org at no charge.

     St. Augustine Institute provides us with a video series entitled: “The Wild Goose, Discovering a Deeper Relationship with the Holy Spirit” via Formed.org, their digital Catholic library. The Wild Goose series is truly a work of the Holy Spirit. “Wild Goose” was a term that the ancient Celts had for the Holy Spirit. It is a 14-part series featuring Fr. Dave Pivonka and various interviews. Shot in various locations from Niagara Falls to the California desert, The Wild Goose invites viewers to an encounter, or a renewed encounter, with the Holy Spirit.

March 21:  The Spirit & Our Lady

March 28:  Gifts of the Holy Spirit

April 4:  The Spirit & the Eucharist

April 11:  The Spirit of Adoptions

April 18:  The Spirit & The Sacraments

April 25:  The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

May 2:  The Spirit & the Desert

May 9:  The Spirit Convicts

May 16:  The Spirit’s Freedom

May 23:  The Spirit Gives Witness

May 30:  The Spirit Remembers

Please consider joining us for this faith-building series. Understandably, you may not be able to attend all     sessions, but it is recommended that you attend at least the first 3 sessions as they form the foundation for the  remaining sessions.
