The Archdiocese of St. Louis will celebrate the feast of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne on Sunday, November 19th, this year. We are so blessed to have a saint as our neighbor!
Please join Fr. Theby, Fr. Chris, Fr. Staley and the parish councils of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Peter and St. Charles Borromeo for a special event on Sunday, November 19th, at 2:00 p.m. in the Shrine of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne. We will begin in the Shrine with a talk on the life of Philippine, followed by an opportunity to tour the historical rooms Philippine lived in at the Academy of the Sacred Heart - the 1835 building, Cribbin Hall (site of the second St. Charles Borromeo church), the Round House where she was buried prior to being moved to the Shrine, and the foundation of the first St. Charles Borromeo school in the front yard of the Academy.
