Annual Catholic Appeal 2023 Kick Off

ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL 2023

Reach Out in Love

When Jesus walked the Earth, each person He encountered received a most precious gift:  His Love.  Jesus spoke with many different people with so many challenges: the poor, the sick, the elderly, the uneducated, those in mourning, immigrants, the homeless, and even those who would, one day persecute Him and his followers.  He did not see any of them as problems to be solved.  He saw them as brothers and sisters to be loved!

As we encounter those around us, we strive to follow our Lord’s example, and Reach Out in Love.  Each year, for nearly seven decades, the Annual Catholic Appeal brings hope and healing to people similar to those served by Jesus…not just by trying to solve their problems, but by sharing with them the love of Jesus Christ.

For nearly seven decades, the Annual Catholic Appeal has brought our Archdiocese together to share God’s bountiful gifts with those in need.  Through your generosity and stewardship, our Church has been able to provide hope and healing to countless lives throughout the communities we serve.

•    Love Our Neighbors:  Together, we lift up our brothers and sisters in need by sharing with them God’s multitude of blessings

•    Share the Truth:  Through Catholic education and formation, we help God’s children find purpose by teaching Christian virtues.

•    Strengthen Our Communities:  We provide vital support to the organizations that create unity throughout our archdiocese.

•    Support Our Clergy:  We give back to those who dedicate their lives to serve the Church and our archdiocese.

Intention Cards:  Your gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal will support ministries that really do help people, throughout the eleven counties of our Archdiocese, including outreach to the poor, parish life and youth programs, Catholic education, formation for priests and priests in retirement.

To Make a Gift or Pledge:  All are invited to stop at the entrance to the Parish Chapel this weekend or next, to make a pledge.  It takes just a few minutes.  No gift is too small.  A gift in any amount means that you are taking part in the many works of love and service supported by the ACA.  Please stop next week after Mass.

Annual Catholic Appeal Prayer:  Lord God, we thank You for the untold blessings You have bestowed upon us.  We offer these blessings back to You.  We lay before You the labors and fruits of the Annual Catholic Appeal.  We pray that our sole desire will be to serve Your Holy Will.  United as Catholics, let us be reminded of our baptismal call to follow our Lord, Jesus Christ, in His service to others.  We make our prayer through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

                                    Sincerely yours in Jesus,

                                    Fr. John Seper

“Your prayers and support for the Annual Catholic Appeal will help thousands to experience the love and mercy of Christ through the ministries of His Church. Thank you for your generous gifts.”

Most Reverend Mitchell T. Rozanski,  Archbishop of St. Louis
