This is the Last Weekend to Drop Socks in the Box
We are in the middle of a typical hot St. Louis Summer. But soon the weather will turn cold and the homelsess will be in need of Socks – Yes, Socks! The St. Patrick’s Center & Sts. Peter and Paul tell us that there are never enough Socks.
Drop off NEW socks in the box!
Socks of various colors and sizes are accepted for children, women, and men.
From our Holy Father to our homeless, such a simple article of clothing can have a BIG impact on our health! Socks play a crucial role protecting our feet from frostbite, infections, blisters, and poor circulation. Clean, well-fitting socks have a direct, immediate impact on the health of our homeless, low-income families, and seniors. The Knights of Peter Claver and Ladies Auxiliary will distribute the donated socks to several Catholic agencies in the greater St. Louis region.
The box is wrapped in an emergency blanket used for the homeless and is located in the Chapel gathering space. The last day to drop off socks is September 4th.
